- Marketing concept l House and Garden

House & Garden is the name under which WPK (Westlandse Plantenkwekerij) markets its flowering range of potted plants. It is a true family business founded in the 1930s by Arie van der Arend. Since 1960, the company has been called WPK. From then on, the nursery grew rapidly; Arie van der Arend's five children have as many as seven WPK locations. These were located in Westland and in Limburg, and in Belgium WPK had become a group. Today, WPK consists of one company with four locations in Westland and in Brabant. These strategic locations allow for large (mixed) orders. Besides its bright assortment of pot plants, WPK is also big in growing vegetable plants. The vegetable plants are offered from seeds to plants for various horticultural companies throughout Europe.
Platycodon – Astronomic - The Magic Unfolds
This mystical 'balloon flower' has a striking, balloon-like bud. Available at House & Garden is the variant Astra, which is known for its tricoloured flowers. It flowers with little care from May to August.
Celosia | Deep Purple - Power to the purple
A versatile plant with striking, plume-shaped purple flowers. Originating in Africa, Asia and South America, this strong plant is used to plenty of sun and periods without rain. This ensures that the plant requires minimal care in the garden and flowers until October.
Angelonia | Everwild - Wild at heart
Angelonia is also known as the 'summer snapdragon'. This popular plant blooms all summer in striking colourful upright flower spikes. The plant also continues to grow in autumn, allowing months of enjoyment of this multi-coloured addition to the garden.

The summer Callistephus is indispensable in the garden. Its nickname Sparkles is not without reason. The shimmering leaves and sparkling flowers in shades of purple, pink and light pink will add a sparkle to the garden until October.
Ptilotus | Foxtail - The Foxiest of all
This unique pot plant can be recognised by its soft pink silver plumes, which resemble a foxtail. They look silky and can reach 10 cm. This annual plant blooms from March to August and can be placed indoors or outdoors.
Flirt | Celosia - Nature meets elegance
Celosia Flirt® is an elegant plant with beautiful salmon-coloured flowers. The fluffy plumes take on a satiny sheen when the sun shines on them and is a real eye-catcher both indoors and outdoors. Its unique colour also makes it great to combine with other colours. The plant can be pruned after flowering so that it blooms again in late summer as well.
