About the grower Kokoplant
Kokoplant is a trading company started by René van Kester and Monique Ouwerling. The company first produced Coconut fences and later made the transition to plants which were grown on coconut pole. In 2015, Kokoplant completely transferred to the Kokodama concept.
Sustainability
The Kokodama bulbs and pots are handmade in Sri Lanka and are 100% biodegradable. For every Kokodama sold, part of the proceeds will be put back in to the local economy in Sri Lanka. This is spent, among other things, on better education of children.
